Often as a person considers whether someone is trustworthy or has expertise to help, they look to shared life or professional experience in the psychologist. In my case I can offer both. In my 20 plus years of counselling, I have worked in Hospital Psychiatric wards, Correctional Facilities and Crisis Teams, volunteered my time with Fire Departments, Search and Rescue Teams and Red Cross Disaster Management.
I am also a certified Brain Health Coach with the Amen Clinics and offer an intergrative approach to Mental Health Care. Some of my approaches and modalities include the use of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), E.M.D.R., Attachment Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) , Gottman Therapy and Mindfulness.
